

I have used it as a name for the city around which I have created a storyline. The word Tenebrae, which means "darkness" actually refers to the period of darkness before the resurrection of Christ from the tomb and forms part of the liturgy of the Catholic church. There was something otherworldly about it that appealed to me and the ideas I had at the time, and which resurfaced in the Tenebrae project I was now working on.
